ABOUT US
Established in 2021, Dramalam Performing Arts was founded to create confidence and nurture the wellbeing of young performers.
At Dramalam, we're creating a new era of Performing Arts training, that empowers children and allows them to learn their self worth.
We deliver fun and educational classes that incorporate wellbeing and mindful activities to help stay active, teach how to perform and how to be kind to our bodies and minds.
Our classes are all taught by professional tutors who have studied and trained vocationally as well as working professionally within the Performing Arts industry. Dramalam is fun, inclusive and a place where everyone can be themselves.
DO IT ALL AT DRAMALAM
Children and young people, ages 3-18, have a range of options to study in various genres of both Dance and Musical Theatre, to enable them to become a well rounded and confident performer.
Musical Theatre
Our Musical Theatre classes are suitable for those aged between ages 3-18. Students study acting, singing and jazz dance- each essential for musical theatre performance.
As well as learning to act via song and dance, wellbeing activities and conversations are a key focus to help students to grow in confidence, self worth, and learn to be kind to themselves and others around them.
We offer school holiday camps, workshops and intensive courses to help students build on their confidence and skills throughout the year.
Dance
Our dance classes currently include Ballet,Tap, Modern, HipHop, Commercial and Contemporary.
All of our dance classes help children to learn skills and technique, as well as finding their style for performance too.
Our classes incorporate mindful and wellbeing activities to help children build confidence and leave empowered.
We are working towards working with syllabi to offer dance examinations in the near future.
Performances
We offer various performances throughout the year for our students. Annually we have a showcase production where all of the students have the opportunity to shine.
We are also currently producing our Winter 2024 Pantomime- The Wizard of Oz.
We also perform at community events such as Strathaven Gala Day and Balloon Festival. Our varied performances give the students the chance to have lots of fun, while building confidence.
